2020 John Bunyan Conference of Tennessee

 

The conference theme is "Christ: the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever." The conference will feature messages that trace motifs / themes throughout Scripture, demonstrating how they culminate in Christ. Also, a tribute to John Reisinger will conducted during the first session on Monday, June 24, 2019.

CONFERENCE SPEAKERS

Pastor Gary L. Scott
With over thirty years as a pastor, Gary has been involved with church planting efforts and has pastored established works. He now serves as Director of Cross Theatre in partnership with Providence Theological Institute.

Dr. Peter W. Gentry
Peter Gentry serves as Donald L. Williams Professor of Old Testament Interpretation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of such works as Kingdom through Covenant and How to Read & Understand the Biblical Prophets.

Pastor Greg Van Court
A graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Greg Van Court serves as Pastor of Dayspring Fellowship in Austin, TX, a position in which he has served since 2012.

Dr. Joe Kelley
After pastoring Killeen Bible Church in Killeen, TX for 30 years, Joe Kelley earned his doctorate from Reformed Theological Seminary & served as a resident faculty member of Providence Theological Seminary.

Dr. Stephen J. Wellum
Stephen Wellum currently serves as Professor of Christian Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and he is the author of such seminal works as Kingdom through Covenant and Christ from Beginning to End.

Pastor Blake White
Blake White currently serves as Pastor of South Side Baptist Church in Abilene, TX. He has authored a myriad of seminal works regarding New Covenant Theology - such as What is New Covenant Theology? and The Imitation of Jesus.

Pastor Gary George
Gary George currently serves as Pastor of Sovereign Grace Chapel in Southbridge, MA. A gifted evangelist, he faithfully preaches the truths of Scripture to his congregation, and he is heavily involved with missionary efforts to Jamaica.

Rev. Kirk Wellum
Kirk Wellum currently serves a Principal & Professor of Systematic Theology, Biblical Studies, & Pastoral Studies at Toronto Baptist Seminary. He has pastored various churches in Ontario, Canada over the course of 24 years.

Dr. Tony Costa
Dr. Costa currently serves as Professor of Islam, Apologetics at Toronto Baptist Seminary. He is both gifted and skilled in the area of Christian Apologetics. His work in this field may be accessed at https://www.freewebs.com/tonycosta/.

MINISTRY VIA MUSIC

To begin the conference, Adam’s Road, a Christian band, will perform on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 6:30 - 9:00 PM. The band is comprised of former Mormons who have since converted to Christ and are passionate to expand the reach of the biblical Gospel via music, song, and testimony.

Note: There will be a PTI-NCT Leadership Planning Session on June 27 (Thursday AM), 2019 for the PTI Leadership and select individuals.

WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE THEME?
The theme of this particular conference is "Christ: the Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever" - a slight title change from "Christ: the Beginning, the Middle, and the End."  We will still be featuring messages that trace motifs / themes throughout Scripture, demonstrating how they culminate in Christ - themes such as: temple, sonship, Israel, righteousness, and others.

Barring any unforeseen complications, the following speakers have graciously agreed to speak at the conference: A. Blake White, Dr. Stephen Wellum, Dr. Peter Gentry, Greg Van Court, Dr. Joe Kelley, Ron McKinney, Bill Sasser, Gary George, and Gary Scott.
